Microsoft Outlook - Step by Step Instructions

These instructions refer to your domain name. Enter it where necessary without the 'www.' prefix. An example domain name is digitalmarkstudios.com

  1. Start Microsoft Outlook and click Tools from the menu bar at the top of the screen. Select E-mail Accounts from the drop down menu.
  2. From the E-Mail section, select the option button next to View or change existing e-mail accounts. Click the Next button
  3. Select your E-Mail account and then click the Change button.
  4. Under the Logon Information section, type your full email address in the text field next to User Name. Enter mail.yourdomain for both Incoming Mail Server (POP3) and Outgoing Mail Server (IMAP). Click More Settings… to proceed to the next step.

  5. Click the Outgoing Server tab then click the checkbox next to the description My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. Select the round button next to Use same settings as my incoming mail server. should be selected. Once completed click OK.
  6. Click the Next button then click Finish. Your email software is now configured.
